Fans of traditional pizza won’t mind a little extra green tucked under the cheese in this updated recipe of the take-out favorite. Take-out pizza is a sodium bomb due to the combination of high sodium ingredients like cheese, marinara sauce, and dough. To cut some salt from your slice look for reduced sodium jarred marinara sauce.

Serves 6

1 pound frozen whole wheat or gluten free pizza dough, defrosted
½ cup jarred marinara sauce
2 cups baby kale
½ cup black olives
1 ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Flatten the defrosted dough on a pizza pan or screen. Top with the marinara sauce, kale, cheese, and olives. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the crust browns around the edges and the cheese is bubbly. Serve immediately.
